Our Mission
Our mission is to meet the urgent need for students to learn in a high-performance educational setting. We support their growth into capable and skilled world citizens who can succeed in their career, family and personal lives as highly valued contributors of the 21st century.

Our Vision
North Forest ISD will be the most innovative urban learning environment that serves as a beacon for teacher innovation, community collaboration and student self-discovery.

Our District
The North Forest Independent School District is located in a well-situated section of northeast Harris County that is only a few miles north of downtown Houston and just south of Bush Intercontinental Airport.

We operate an early childhood center, five elementary campuses, two middle schools and one high school. We also offer a career and technical education program with curricula in engineering, criminal justice, agricultural science, building trades, health professions and other areas of study.

The District’s curriculum is aligned with the state-mandated curriculum, assessments and programs. With strong academic programs as the cornerstone, North Forest ISD also prides itself on the education of the total child by offering enrichment opportunities aimed at cultivating the artistic and creative talents of our students.

Our Students
North Forest ISD serves approximately 7,600 students in grades Pre-K through 12th grade. Our students are among the best and brightest in the state of Texas and throughout the nation. NFISD graduates have gone on to attend Tier 1 universities throughout Texas and some of the best colleges and universities in the nation, receiving both academic and athletic scholarships to further their educations. NFISD alumni include lawyers, doctors, nurses, business, community and political leaders, educators and many other men and women who have excelled in a variety of career paths; and our current students continue to standout in the classroom and in academic, athletic and co-curricular competitions throughout the region and state.

Our Employees
North Forest ISD is proud to employ more than 1,000 teachers, administrators, professionals, paraprofessionals and support staff members. From safely transporting students to and from school to preparing and serving nutritious meals, from keeping our buildings safe and clean to teaching a lesson in history, math or science, our employees dedicate themselves daily to serving the students of our District.

Our Community
North Forest ISD is not just a collection of school buildings and facilities or a group of teachers and staff. It is a community partner and a part of the fabric of the unique and tight-knit area it serves. Our administrators are always happy to meet with civic groups and neighborhood associations to talk about what is taking place at NFISD; and we are always looking for ways to increase community involvement and to create partnerships with area agencies, organizations and businesses. While North Forest ISD proudly accepts the responsibility of educating the children of this great community, we believe that true success can only come when all of these entities work together to prepare students to become life-long learners and responsive citizens.
