Superintendent of Schools
Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year and welcome to North Forest ISD! This year is off to a great start, and I remain proud to serve as Superintendent of Schools for the North Forest Independent School District and to lead a dedicated, professional and caring staff of administrators, teachers and support personnel.

Our district is home to six TEA-Recognized campuses and is a place where a number of innovative programs and best practices are put into action, making North Forest ISD the place you want to be! From dual-language learning in our early childhood program to a campus devoted to helping freshmen students make a smooth transition to high school, from a new partnership with a renowned charter school system that now offers our students a choice in education to new, dynamic leadership at our high school campus—North Forest ISD is on the move. At NFISD, administrators, teaching and support staff have adopted core values include that we embrace and employ each day. Those values are:

        • Truth, honesty and high ethical standards
        • Creative use of available financial resources and human capital
        • Collaborative teaching atmosphere; and
        • Consistent follow-through and acceptance of accountability.

I share these values because I want parents, students, community leaders, elected and appointed officials, business partners and everyone with a vested interest in our district and the education of our students to know what they are, to understand them and hold us to these standards as much as we hold ourselves to them. More importantly, I share them to invite you to join us. Public involvement remains integral to the success of public education. We need parents, community, business and political leaders to share in our purpose, to support our students and the district; as such, I invite you to learn more about North Forest ISD, its students and schools. I am always eager to hear from patrons who want to join us in our mission to meet the urgent need for students to learn in a setting and manner that supports their growth into capable and skilled world citizens who can succeed in their career, family and personal lives as highly valued contributors of the 21st century.

Sincerely,

Dr. Adrain Johnson
